Feeling stuck?
Most try to think their way out.
But overthinking is the trap.
The more you plan, the deeper you sink.
Motionless brilliance doesn’t build momentum.
A car stuck in mud doesn’t need a better map.
It needs movement.
Rock it back and forth, until traction returns.
Clarity doesn’t come before action.
It comes from it.
Publish before you’re ready.
Make before you feel “clear.”
Repeat until you’re unstuck.

LOVE
We optimize. We perform. We pretend we’re fine.
But beneath the output, many of us feel unworthy.
Our inner critic is louder than any audience.
Last week, I had a powerful conversation with Mark McGowan.
And right before we wrapped, he said:
“At the end of the day, all it comes down to is learning to love yourself.”
It wasn’t advice. It was truth.
And I haven’t stopped thinking about it.
That line peeled something back.
What if growth is learning to stop hiding
and stand without the armor we thought we needed?
Watch the clip. Let that truth travel with you today.
SITTING ON GOLD

Most people are sitting on gold, but they don’t know it.
Not because it’s buried.
But because no one showed them how to see it.
Or told them it mattered.
So they go through life with brilliance wrapped in doubt.
They mistake ease for unimportance.
They downplay what comes naturally.
They think, “If it’s obvious to me, it must be obvious to everyone.”
But it’s not.
I once heard someone say they “weren’t creative.”
Then they explained how they fixed a broken team, rewired their job, and solved conflict with calm.
They called it “just helping.”
I saw it for what it was: alchemy.
Their whole face changed not from praise, but from finally seeing it.
That’s the shift.
Not becoming someone new.
But finally owning what’s always been there.
Your lens. Your layers.
Your unique way of seeing, solving, speaking.
When you stop dismissing your gold, you can start creating from it.
WHAT REALLY MATTERS
TO GET SUPER PERSONAL FOR A MOMENT…
I’m super proud of all of our kids. And my wife.
They’re each doing hard things. And they’re amazing at the things they take on. I’m so UNBELIEVABLY grateful and proud of them.
But in this long a** text to my son, I’m very clear on my POV on what REALLY matters in life…
And I’ll throw this encouragement out to everyone…
$20, given to a stranger, who’s asking for help. We’ve all needed help.
Maybe today you can be someone who helped someone else.
And if you give $20 to someone, but can’t really afford it right now… let me know. We got you.
Much love. Always and all-ways.
GRATEFUL
My dad’s offices (both work and home) were filled with books.
Shelves. Piles. Stacks everywhere. I need to dig up a photo — it was borderline chaos (in the best way).
And, yep… I definitely inherited all of that.
Thanks, Dad. Haha
But seriously… more than the books, he demonstrated even bigger things:
About being yourself. Staying curious. Seeking wisdom. And, using your God-given talents and hard-earned skills to help.
I’m endlessly grateful to have grown up in the orbit of someone so fully, genuinely engaged — with life, learning, people, and genuine community.

MOMENT BY MOMENT (This is how we make progress)
“Concentrate every minute… like a man on doing what’s in front of you with precise and genuine seriousness, tenderly, willingly, with justice.” — Marcus Aurelius, Meditations
This is how we make progress:
Moment by moment. Drip by drip.
Begin by focusing your attention on what you’re doing and why it matters.
Then, specify a desired goal and use each moment to work in that direction.
This is how we make progress:
Moment by moment. Drip by drip.
There’s no need to rush.
Taken together, those moments will multiply and lead to real progress.
Progress towards important goals that change things for the better.
What you have is this moment. So focus your attention, create a meaningful intention, and then take deliberate action.
This is how we make progress:
Moment by moment. Drip by drip.
Keep going.

SOUNDING BOARD
I had the opportunity recently to be a sounding board for a good friend preparing for a new client pitch.
Helping him think through the strategy and push the pitch further was so energizing and rewarding. For both of us.
And the result? A strong YES from the client to a monthly retainer!
There’s nothing better than helping people win.
ONE SENTENCE
Today, someone said one sentence to me that meant everything and put the wind back in my sails:
“I see, deeply appreciate, and value your contributions.”
OFFER A MAP
As I was entering a favorite establishment of mine recently, I noticed a mother and her adult son standing just inside the doorway with a puzzled look on their face.
I sensed that this was their first time here.
And when I asked them if this was true, they said yes.
I introduced myself and told them that I would take care of them — that I would lead them to where they needed to be so they could have a great experience.
Our mini-tour only lasted a minute.
As our micro friendship concluded, I could tell they were relieved. Instead of confusion and fear on their face, they both warmly smiled and said, “thank you.”
